2010 Workshop Series: Thrive During Sinking Times
This seminar series will focus on low-cost, targeted marketing ideas that small business owners can use to keep their business afloat during sinking times. Each session will consist of real-life examples we’ve used with our clients, case studies from firms who have implemented these strategies, group discussion and an opportunity to write your own mini marketing plan.
Session 1: Market to Your Existing Customers
January 2010
If 80 percent of our business comes from existing customers, why do we often fail to include them in our marketing plans? Learn practical, cost-effective strategies for marketing to the people who are already loyal to your brand.
Session 2: Expand Your Sales Force with Strategic Partnerships
February 2010
Selling your services alone can be a slow and tiring process. Learn how to find strategic business partners that can help you sell your brand’s services. These partnerships expand your brand’s reach to a new set of prospects and can allow you to share marketing costs, substantially saving your small business some serious cash.
Session 3: Build Your Business through Brand Extension or Change
March 2010In a changing economy, it may be time to reconsider your brand’s offerings. McDonald’s found it the perfect time to launch the McCafe line of coffee. A local college is offering 40 percent off of tuition for displaced workers. What is your brand doing to capitalize on today’s economy?
Session 4: Change Your Brand’s Message to Appeal to Today’s Marketplace
April 2010Have you changed your brand’s marketing message in the last year? If not, you may want to give it some serious consideration. Consumers have many fears right now with the recession and your brand’s message needs to address those fears. Comcast has a new campaign called “Everybody Loves Money” to appeal to consumer’s budget-consciousness. During this session you’ll learn to write a marketing message that is relevant to today’s marketplace.
